Women’s Wear Daily announced that Marchesa will be venturing into the accessories business, launching in spring 2010. Due to debut at the Chelsea Art Museum in New York on September 16, the collection will include handbags and clutches as timeless and elegant as their eveningwear. These bags can be used again and again, and no one will dare call you a bag-repeater.  As Marchesa co-founder and designer Georgina Chapman said, “some people don’t always have an occasion for a gown….you could wear these with jeans and a T-shirt.” I’m sure this will attract more business for them and at the same time give us more handbags to love!
